PANOT XXI is a collection of pavement tiles, set to become a new symbol of promising future for Barcelona. They are made out of clay that gives more than aesthetic purpose and ensures better quality of life in the city. The decision to use clay came from the fact that it has multiple beneficial properties, such as plasticity when wet and ability to harden when dry, absorption, porosity, impermeability, and detoxification. Thus its use for tiles can ensure that they will not only be durable, but also will be able to act as a street filter and detoxifier by absorbing water vapor and dust from air, and by collecting rain water and debris. The collection consists of three different tiles, which are categorised by their use: Pedestrian, Car, and Bike. They all share some similarities, like the material and overall dimensions. Their main differences are the hole sizes, which ensure comfortable use and proper performance.
